Aamir Kiani visits hospitals of twin cities


ISLAMABAD, Jan 19 (APP):Federal Minister for Health Aamir Mahmood Kiani Saturday visited District Headquarters Hospital, Holy Family Hospital and Benazir Hospital in Rawalpindi, and Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.
During the visit, he inspected the facilities being provided to the patients in the hospitals
The minister also interacted with the under-treatment patients and directed the hospitals administration to address the problems being faced by them at the earliest.
Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government was giving special attention to health and added the hospitals were being equipped with modern facilities. He said budget allocation on health sector would also be increased.
He said the government was making all-out efforts to provide modern health facilities to masses at their doorsteps.
Aamer Kiyani said that health was the top most priority of the government from day one and major developments in this vital area would become evident in near future.
He said Prime Minister Imran Khan was also visiting different hospitals and inspecting the health facilities. Under the health card scheme poor segments of the society would be provided with health cards, he said, adding there was a dire need to spend more money on public health.
