China calls upon all parties to strengthen dialogue on Iranian nuclear issue

BEIJING, May 8 (APP):A spokesman of Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday that all the parties were very concerned about the
comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue.
“In the recent period, all parties are very concerned about the comprehensive agreement on the Iranian
nuclear issue. The Chinese side also stated its position before,” Geng Shuang said while responding to a question
about the possible withdrawal of the US from the Iranian nuclear agreement.
He said the comprehensive agreement on the Iranian nuclear issue was a multilateral agreement, negotiated
by the six nations, the European Union and Iran, adding it was approved by the Security Council Resolution
No. 2231.
Under the current situation, ensuring the integrity and seriousness of the Iranian nuclear comprehensive
agreement will help maintain the international nuclear non-proliferation regime and promote peace and stability in
the Middle East, he said.
Geng Shuang called upon all parties to strengthen dialogue and coordination, properly handle their
differences, and continue to faithfully perform their duties.
“China will continue to maintain an objective, fair, and responsible attitude, maintain close communication
with all parties involved and continue to work to maintain and implement the Iranian nuclear comprehensive
agreement,” he added.
