ISLAMABAD, May 8 (APP):Pakistani cricketers have lauded the Rawalpindi Master Premier League 2018 with the hope that many talented young players will come to fore through this league.
Rawalpindi Master Premier League 2018 kicked off here at the Pindi Stadium, Rawalpindi from April 30 and will conclude on May 15 with the final. A total of five teams are participating in the league including Rawalpindi Rams, Gujar Khan Panthers, Jhelum Hawks, Chakwal Peacocks and Attock Stallions.
Talking to APP, Rawalpindi region head coach Sabih Azhar Tuesday said many talented players will come to fore through this League as all participating players are under-25. “The tournament is being organized by Rawalpindi Cricket Association (RCA),” he said.
All-rounder Muhammad Hafeez congratulated Sabih, RCA and all participating teams. “It will be a great opportunity for the young players to showcase their skills,” he said.
He said this league was very important for the future of players. “I thank all sponsors for making this league happen and hope that such type of leagues will also be organized in future,” he said.
Left-arm seamer Sohail Tanvir said this type of platform is needed to produce future Pakistani cricketers. “I give my best wishes to all the participating teams and urge young players to benefit from this league as much as they can and hope that Rawalpindi Region will get many good cricketers from this tournament,” he said.
Leg-spinner Shadab Khan said young players will get to play quality cricket through this league. “I thank New York Builders and Sportsfever 360 for live telecasting the tournament on social media,” he said.
Pacer Umar Gul congratulated Sabih and RCA and said he hopes Rawalpindi cricketers will get to play quality cricket.
Ace pacer Hasan Ali said young cricketers of Rawalpindi will get an opportunity to show their guts in the league.
All-rounder Hammad Azam gave his best wishes to Sabih and RCA for organizing the league.
Former cricketer Muhammad Waseem said it is a very good opportunity for Rawalpindi cricketers. “I hope such type of initiatives will also be taken in future for the betterment of cricket,” he said.
