High Commissioner felicitates newly elected British-Pakistani Councillors

LONDON, May 05 (APP):Pakistan High Commissioner to United Kingdom (UK), Syed Ibne Abbas has
congratulated the newly elected British-Pakistanis Councillors, participated in the country’s
local bodies election 2018, held here on Thursday.
In a statement here on Saturday, the High
Commissioner expressed the hope that the newly
elected Councillors would actively participate in
the politics of the UK and play their vital role as
representatives of the British-Pakistanis in the
economic development of the country.
Syed Ibne Abbas also hoped that the
councilors would also play their vital role in
further strengthening the existing cordial
relations between Pakistan and United Kingdom.
The High Commissioner said
“Pakistani diaspora is serving as a strong bridge
between Pakistan and the UK, however, there is
a need for increased participation in the UK
politics commensurate with the population of our community.”
