‘Budget to mitigate business community’s worries’

LAHORE, Apr 28 (APP):Pakistan Hosiery Manufacturers
and Exporters Association (PHMA) and Pakistan Tanners
Association (PTA) on Saturday welcomed the federal budget
2018-19, saying that with numerous challenges on economic
front, the budget document is balanced and somehow will
mitigate the business community’s worries.
PHMA Central Chairman Dr Khurram Anwar Khawaja and PTA
sources told APP here that said that the government had
allocated amounts for various development projects of water,
energy and roads which would help in stimulating the economy.
They said the budget was a great success of the PML-N
government and it would attract further investment in the
country and spur business activity, adding that the credit was
due to the government for reducing super tax and corporate tax
which was good omen for the businesses in the country.
They said the financial steps would also bring relief to
the common man and the salaried persons.
They said the government has paid special attention to
the road networks in the country, adding it would enhance
business activity besides providing new job opportunities to
the people. The allocation of funds for dams and tax rebate on
income have been the big achievements of the current budget,
they added.
