Mandviwalla for exploring more Pak-China public-private partnership opportunities

ISLAMABAD, April 27 (APP):Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla has said that Chinese investors should explore the possibilities of public private partnership for initiation of joint projects in various fields as such projects would help more close the investors and business communities of both countries.
He expressed these views in a meeting with a four member delegation of China Railways 20 Bureau Group Corporation led by Wen Ke, a press release Friday said.
The deputy chairman said conducive environment exists for investment in Pakistan and there is huge scope for joint ventures with private sector besides the government to government projects.
“State companies of China need to invest in private sectors in Pakistan by engaging with companies and launching joint ventures in different fields” he said.
He said Pakistan and China have a history of friendship and this historic friendship has remained beneficial for both in economic and strategic fields.
The deputy chairman said friendship between the two countries stood the test of the time and bilateral relationships are on positive trajectory.
He emphasized the need for increased exchange of visits at the business community level for exploring new avenues in Pakistan.
He said people of Pakistan are proud of China’s socioeconomic progress and looking forward for further strengthening their mutually beneficial cooperative partnership.
Leader of the delegation agreed with the views of Mandviwalla and underscored the stressed the need for more enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and China.
Members of the delegation informed the deputy chairman about different projects being executed by their company. It was informed that Lahore- Multan Motorway project would be completed in August 2018 and they are interested exploring more opportunities for investment in Pakistan.
