ISLAMABAD, April 26 (APP):The government is making sincere efforts to revive the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) sector by extending maximum incentives with an aim to provide inexpensive fuel to motorists.
Unveiling the Economic Survey of Pakistan for the year 2017-18 here Thursday, Adviser to Prime Minister on Finance Dr Miftah Ismail said the present government had approved provision of RLNG to
this sector with fiscal incentives of GIDC (Gas Infrastructure Development Cess) at the rate of zero
and sales tax at the rate of five percent for CNG industry’s sustainable growth.
Currently, he said, more than 3,416 CNG stations have marketing licences in the country.
