ISLAMABAD, April 26 (APP):Senate Deputy Chairman Saleem Mandviwalla has underscored the need for more close collaboration in the fields of trade, business, science and technology and other sectors to provide level playing field to the investors and business communities of Pakistan and China for mutual benefit.
He expressed these views in meeting with a seven member business delegation from China headed by CETC Chairman Zhu Chong at the Parliament House on Thursday, a press release said.
The deputy chairman said friendship between Pakistan and China is time tested and the two sides place the bilateral relationship at high esteem.
He said Pakistan offers a conducive environment for investment and Chinese conglomerates need to explore opportunities for business and trade. “State companies of China need to invest in private sectors in Pakistan by engaging with companies and launching joint ventures in different fields,” Mandviwalla said.
He said Pakistan and China have a history of friendship and this historic friendship has remained beneficial for both in economic and strategic fields and initiatives like CPEC have added further impetus to bilateral relations between the two sides.
He also emphasized the need for increased exchange of visits at the business community level for exploring new avenues.
The deputy chairman said people of Pakistan are proud of China’s socioeconomic progress and looking forwards for further strengthening their mutually beneficial cooperative partnership.
Leader of the delegation agreed with the views of Mandviwalla and underscored the need for more enhanced cooperation between Pakistan and China.
