Lawyers delegation calls on Shehbaz Sharif

LAHORE, Apr 14 (APP):A delegation of lawyers led by
Yashin Azad on Saturday called on President of PML-N and Punjab
Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif at Governor’s
House, Karachi.
According to a handout issued here, the CM while talking
to the delegation, said the role of lawyers for the rule
of law and dominance of constitution was unforgettable.
The legal fraternity ran a great campaign for the
restoration of democracy and their sacrifices for democracy
were praiseworthy, he said and added lawyers had great role
in the provision of justice to the common man.
He said no society could make progress without justice
and rule of law. Several societies destroyed due to the
lack of justice while many societies had progressed due
to hardwork, honesty and justice, he added.
“We have to follow the path of honesty, justice and hardwork
because only this path can lead us forward,” he said and added
70 years had passed but the country had not achieved its
destination.
The Pak Army, Rangers and law enforcement agencies had
rendered countless sacrifices for peace in Karachi, he
said. The CM added he was visiting Karachi to promote unity,
harmony and brotherhood.
“We need to end corruption to make Karachi Paris again.
We have to think as a Pakistani and work for Pakistan,” he said.
“If Allah Almighty gives us another chance to rule through
elections, we will bring back lost Karachi and we have
to work together for this purpose,” he added.
On this occasion, Advocate Naheed Afzal announced joining
the PML-N along with friends.
Leader of the delegation, Yasin Azad said the whole legal
fraternity supported you and praised your vision of development.
He added there should also be a chief minister like you in Sindh.
