KARACHI, Apr 10 (APP):Governor of Sindh, Muhammad Zubair on Tuesday said the federal government was taking practical steps to highlight the positive image of Karachi.
He said this while addressing the CFO Conference organised by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), at a hotel here, said a statement.
The Sindh governor said the present government had made different difficult decisions for sustainable development and strengthened the economy during last five years and now the people were
reaping the fruit of the same in shape of resolution to power crisis and restoration of peace in the city.
After restoration of peace and resolving the electricity crisis, full attention was being paid towards promotion of sports, cultural, trade and economic activities, he added.
The Sindh governor said steps were being taken on priority basis for the development and restoration of infrastructure in the industrial areas under Karachi Development Package.
Further boost and promotion of trade and economic activities will help generate employment, he added.
On the occasion, ICAP President, Riaz A. Rehman said the ICAP had organised many conference at national and international levels.
He also briefed the participants regarding future projects and performance of the ICAP.
Later, the Sindh governor was presented souvenir on behalf of the ICAP by its President Riaz A.Rehman.
