Two-day spring festival concludes: Pleasant weather attracts citizens at festival

ISLAMABAD, Apr 8 (APP):Thousands of enthusiasts on Sunday visited the mega spring festival on its concluding day amid pleasant weather and weekend to enjoy its festivities.
The festival was originally planned to be a three day long event however all festivities scheduled for Friday was cut out to show solidarity with Kashmiries.
A vintage car and bike show, a dog show as well as a Sufi concert featuring famous performers fully entertained the citizens of twin cities.
A special feature of the festival was the victory parade of Islamabad united, the reigning Champions of the Pakistan Super League, from D-Chowk to F-9 Park.
Imran Khalid a visitor came for PSL parade said that such recreational activities were necessary for young generation as it helped in removing the frustration and become a source of eternity.
He also appreciated the government for arranging such festivals that would send the message to other nations regarding better law and order situation of the country.
Another visitor Sultan Sabzwari who attended almost four events at spring festival said “such events create harmony and give an opportunity to the public to get rid of their annoyance.”
He said the pleasant weather on this occasion doubled the enthusiasm of public who were already enjoying the festival with fervor.
“I was not expecting successful holding of such colorful family gala with having variety of cultural events,” Saima Nauman, an overseas Pakistanis said.
“Nowadays I am visiting Pakistan after long time and it was really a source of motivation for me that there was complete peace in my country and festivals like this are being organized in different cities including federal capital,” she added.
