PESHAWAR, Feb 12 (APP): To empower the youth of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a three-member delegation from BellMedEx, a leading U.S. based healthcare IT company, met with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi to discuss the potential of Information Technology, freelancing, and online job markets in creating new employment opportunities at Governor House here on Wednesday.

The meeting highlighted the challenges faced by the province’s youth, especially young women, in securing meaningful employment, and explored how global markets can offer a path to economic prosperity through skill development and innovation.

The delegation included the founder and CEO of the company, Qazafi Farooqi, CEO Advisor Dr. Farooq Khan, and Vice President Maria Abbasi.

The meeting also focused on detailed discussions regarding youth engagement, women empowerment, information technology, and the promotion of online job markets in the province.

Governor Faisal Karim Kundi emphasized that despite limited employment opportunities for the youth in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Information Technology and freelancing could provide them with global market opportunities.

He said that although our youth are talented, many young women face economic hardships due to a lack of job opportunities and a favorable environment after completing their education.

He stressed the need to guide the new generation across all sectors.

He further praised organizations like BellMedEx, which are helping to pave the way for a bright future for the youth, contributing not only to individual success but also to the development of the national economy.

The representatives from BellMedEx shared that their healthcare IT company currently provides services to over 3,500 physicians in the United States and employs over 1,500 people in Pakistan.

They highlighted the company’s role in positioning Pakistan as a key player in the global IT market.

The delegation informed the Governor that BellMedEx is creating additional job opportunities for the youth in Pakistan based on modern skills, enabling them to compete globally.

The delegation also praised Governor Faisal Karim Kundi’s leadership and efforts in securing a place for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s youth in the global digital economy.

Meanwhile, a delegation from the Khyber Chamber of Commerce and Industry, led by Group Leader and Patron-in-Chief Syed Jawad Hussain Kazmi, met with Governor Faisal Karim Kundi.

The delegation highlighted issues faced by the business community in merged districts, including the lack of trade facilities, land disputes in real estate, and taxes.

They also requested the establishment of a modern slaughterhouse in Jamrud to access the halal meat markets of Afghanistan and Central Asia.

The delegation urged for the activation of joint economic development committees in all districts and called for providing security and land for chambers in merged districts.

Governor Kundi assured the delegation that the government would prioritize resolving these issues, particularly in merged districts.

He pledged to engage with relevant federal ministries to address concerns about slaughterhouses, real estate, and taxes.

The Governor also offered support for hosting a trade conference at the Governor House and assured cooperation in organizing a regional connectivity trade summit.
