LAHORE, Feb 12 (APP):The Department of Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education has directed the heads of all teaching hospitals and affiliated institutions to provide details regarding the annual auction of parking, canteen/cafeteria/tuck shops, and outsourcing of janitorial and security services.
A notification was issued in this regard on Wednesday.
According to the notification, audit irregularities have been identified in the annual auction processes and outsourcing of services in government teaching hospitals and affiliated institutions. In response, the department has asked for a complete record within three days.
To ensure transparency, all contracts will now be approved strictly through e-tendering. The move aims to prevent financial discrepancies and improve governance in public healthcare facilities.
