BEIJING, March 22 (APP): A Chinese foreign ministry’s spokesperson Thursday said that China supported all efforts that were conducive to promoting the political settlement process between the US and Democratic Republic of Korea (DPRK).
“We support all efforts that are conducive to promoting the political settlement process,” Hua Chunying said during her regular briefing here when asked if the relevant parties request the Chinese side, is China willing to hold or preside over the US-DPRK leaders’ meeting?
The spokesperson said that China has consistently advocated that the Korean Peninsula issue should be resolved through dialogue and consultation.
“We will actively support all efforts that are conducive to the political settlement of the peninsula through the promotion of dialogue and consultation,” she added.
