Pakistan Day to be celebrated with zeal

FAISALABAD, Mar 22 (APP)::The Pakistan Day will be celebrated on Friday throughout the district
with national zeal and enthusiasm.
The district administration has chalked out various events and programmes to mark the day in a befitting manner.
The day will dawn with prayers in mosques and Quran Khwani
for the martyrs of Pakistan Movement.
Flag-hoisting ceremony would be held at DC Complex at 9am
in which parliamentarians, officers of divisional and district administration, heads of local governments institutions and
representatives of civil society would participate.
The national anthem would be recited by the participants
and special prayers would be offered for development and
progress of the country and national solidarity.
Meanwhile, different public and private institutions,
traders, political, social, religious and other organisations
have also arranged different programmes to highlight the
significance of the Pakistan Resolution, presented on 23rd
of March 1940.
Speech, Na’at, Husn-e-Qirat and posters making competitions
would be held among the students under the District Education
Authority and the Directorate of Colleges Faisalabad.
Faisalabad Arts Council will also arrange a Mehfil-e-Mushaira
at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Auditorium. Banners and steamers
inscribed with slogans of love with Pakistan and patriotism
have been displayed on important roads, intersections and
other places.
