QUETTA, Jan 20 (APP):Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail cut a cake on Monday to mark the first flight operation at the New Gwadar International Airport (GIA).
He stated that the New Gwadar International Airport (GIA) is now operational, and in this regard, a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane has become the first to land at the new airport.
On the occasion of the new airport becoming operational, Balochistan Governor Jafar Khan Mandokhail traveled from Karachi to Gwadar in a PIA flight with passengers.
While Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti and Minister for Defense and Aviation Khawaja Asif were present at Gwadar International Airport to warmly welcome the passengers.
Later, a simple but dignified ceremony was also held at the New International Airport to celebrate the inaugural flight.
Earlier, Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail cut a cake during the first commercial flight on the occasion of the New Gwadar International Airport becoming operational in the presence of the concerned authorities.
He said that Gwadar International Airport would become a hub of commercial, economic and tourism activities at the national and international levels.
