RAWALPINDI, Jan 20 (APP):Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) on Monday issued notice to the owners of illegal land subdivision adjacent to the Gulraiz Housing Scheme.
According to a RDA spokesman, the Metropolitan Planning and Traffic Engineering (MP&TE), RDA issued notice to the owners of the land subdivision adjacent to the Gulraiz Housing Scheme on violation of Section 12(5) of the Punjab Development of Cities Act, 1976, and Rule 4 of the Punjab Development Authorities Private Housing Scheme Rules-2021.
This action was taken due to the illegal marketing, advertising, booking of plots, and ongoing development activities being carried out without the necessary approval from RDA, he added.
The spokesman informed that the Director General, RDA, Kinza Murtaza had emphasized the importance of adherence to legal procedures. No project could start marketing, development, or plot bookings without prior approval from the authorities concerned. All the housing schemes must comply with the due process and obtain the necessary approvals from RDA to prevent illegal construction and ensure proper urban development, he said.
The DG RDA had directed the MP&TE Directorate to take strict measures against illegal advertisements and marketing. FIRs would also be lodged against the owners of illegal land subdivisions, he warned.
The spokesman urged the citizens not to invest in illegal housing projects and check status of the housing schemes on RDA website: www.rda.gop.pk.
