DPM directs to initiate process for power tariff relief to industries

ISLAMABAD, Jan 17 (APP): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar on Friday directed the relevant departments to initiate the process of providing relief to the industrial consumers of electricity.

The deputy prime minister, chairing the second meeting on electricity tariff for industry, reviewed the proposal presented by the ministries of finance, information and technology and power.

The meeting was attended by Ministers of Power and Economic Affairs Division, SAPM on Power, Minister of State for Finance and Information Technology, federal secretaries for finance, power, and IT, and chairmen of FBR and NEPRA.
