LAHORE, Jan 15 (APP):At least 13 people were killed and 1,434 others injured in 1,308 road accidents in Punjab during the last 24 hours.
As many as 620 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 814 with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by the rescue medical teams.
The analysis showed that 784 drivers, 55 underage drivers, 151 pedestrians, and 512 passengers were among the victims of road crashes. The statistics showed that 269 accidents were reported in Lahore, which affected 274 people, placing the provincial capital at top of the list, followed by Faisalabad with 93 accidents and 112 victims, and at third Gujranwala with 70 accidents and 71 victims.
According to the data, 1,193 motorbikes, 84 auto-rickshaws, 137 motorcars, 26 vans, 13 passenger buses, 33 truck and 99 other types of vehicles and slow-moving carts were involved in the road accidents.
