ISLAMABAD, Jan 14 (APP):Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has paid glowing tributes to renowned poet Mohsin Naqvi Shaheed on his 29th martyrdom anniversary.
Mohsin Naqvi joined the People’s Students Federation (PSF) and played a key role in the PPP’s fight for people’s rights, bravely facing imprisonment and hardships. Recognizing his dedication, Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto awarded him an election ticket.
In a statement from the Media Cell Bilawal House, he praised Naqvi’s poetic brilliance and his connection with the masses, exemplified in his iconic verses dedicated for Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto: “Ya Allah, Ya Rasool – Benazir Be Qasoor”, which symbolized his commitment to justice and truth.
Bilawal Bhutto encouraged the youth to draw inspiration from Naqvi’s legacy of humanity and resistance against injustice.
He reaffirmed the PPP’s dedication to freedom of expression and the protection of art and literature, highlighting tolerance, peace and justice as pillars of society.
