MUZAFFARABAD, Mar 11(APP)::The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) Raja Farooq Haider Khan has
inaugurated a computerized Land Record Centre at Hattian Bala.
The area which is also the home town of PM and started computerization of the land record from his own land on Sunday.
The PM Haider on the occasion said that after the establishment of such computerized Land Record Centre and starting its proper service system, all three divisions of Azad Kashmir would
be equipped with such modern facilities and saying that this project is the first practical step towards the digital governance.
He asserted that E-governance was essential for ensuring the good governance and said that computerization of land records will not only give the easy access to the citizen towards their
actual land record but also will help in stopping the menace of corruption in
this regard.
Earlier, the Prime Minister was briefed by DG IT Board Dr. Khalid Rafique regarding the project and informed that cost of the project would be Rs. 164.376 Million approximately and under
this project, the computerization of land record would completed in three
Tehsils of AJK including Hattian, Dhirkot and Dadiyal, whereas, almost the land
of 378424 people from 235 villages have been made computerized.
He also told that in next phase the project would be extended in other ten Tehsils of Azad Kashmir and finally the whole state land would be made completely computerized to facilitate the masses
as well as the government, Dr. Khalid added.

Jehlum valley Fareed Khan and others were also present on the occasion.
The PM Farooq also visited the record room of the Centre and directed the Minister for Revenue to ensure early completion of the project and its extension in all other ten districts of Azad
Kashmir so that the masses of the state could be facilitated.
