PHC to hold Councilors Convention on Saturday

LONDON, Feb 23 (APP):The Pakistan High Commission (PHC) in London will hold “Councilors Convention-2018” on  Saturday.
This is the 2nd Councilors Convention in London and is being organized after receiving positive feedback from the participant’s previous Convention.
According to the PHC statement, a large number of Councilors/Mayors and community members will attend the Convention. In this regard, all preparations have been finalized.
The purpose of the initiative is to further strengthen the bond with the Pakistani community in the the United Kingdom and to celebrate their success in various walks of life.
Syed Ibn-e-Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK will be the chief guest.
Besides the inaugural session, the Convention will have two sessions and discussion will take place on these themes: 1. Diaspora’s role in furthering Pakistan-UK relationship 2. Youth Engagement and Women Empowerment.
The speakers will be a mix of MPs, Councillors/Mayors and experts from various walks of life.
The event will be held from 9:30am to 4:00pm at the Royal Nawaab Restaurant.
Previously, similar Councillors Conventions were organized at Bradford and Birmingham Consulates of Pakistan.
