Some elements trying to target PML-N: Ahsan

ISLAMABAD, Feb 22 (APP):Minister for Interior Ahsan Iqbal Thursday said some elements were trying to do politics by targeting Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), the biggest political party of the country.
Former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was still popular leader and living in the hearts of the masses, he said talking to a private news channel.
The minister said many steps had been taken against Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N but the party was getting benefit from them. He said reality could not be changed through a controversial decision against the Sharif family.
Ahsan Iqbal said unidentified forces were adopting tactics to defame and weaken PML-N, but they would fail in doing so.
He said consultations would be held to announce the new party president.
Due to dynamic leadership and prudent policies of Nawaz Sharif, the country’s economy had strengthened,
he said adding the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) was launched and the menace of terrorism was checked.
