MANSHERA, Feb 16 (APP): Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz Sharif Friday said there was no stain of corruption on her father and PML-N President Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Addressing a PML-N Youth social media convention at Mujahidabad in Tehsil Buffa, she said the political life of Nawaz Sharif was filled with punishments, but he was the son of the soil and would stay in the country.
She said Nawaz Sharif enjoyed support of over 200 million people of Pakistan. He was striving to ensure respect of the vote and would emerge strong as a leader despite all the difficulties, she added..
Maryam said the overwhelming victory of the PML-N candidate in Loadhran by-poll reflected the people’s love for Nawaz Sharif, and trust in his leadership and political acumen.
She said it was a matter of pride that the youth stood with the PML-N and their massive presence in the convention was a proof of that fact. The convention had rather been turned into a public gathering because of the huge crowd of youth, she added.
Maryam said Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf chief Imran Khan had made the PTI a party of conspirators. He had tried his best to malign Nawaz Sharif hyping negative propaganda of corruption, but he failed to achieve his motive as no wrongdoing of even a single penny was proved against him in courts.
Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly Murtaz Javed Abbasi, Member of the National Assembly Capt (R) Muhammad Safdar, PML-N Khyber Pakhtunkhwa President and Advisor to the Prime Minister Amir Muqam and Federal Minister Sardar Yousaf were also present on the occasion.
The convention was organized by Member of KP Assembly Saleh Muhammad Khan.
