ISLAMABAD, Feb 8 (APP):Minister of State for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry Thursday said the credit of restoring peace in Karachi, economic hub of the country, goes to Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) government.
It was political will and commitment of the PML-N government that resulted in bringing back lights in Karachi, he said while talking to a private news channel.
Tariq Fazal said law and order situation had worsened in Karachi before 2013 which affected economic activities across the country.
Business community was now freely carrying out economic activities in the mega city, he added.
He said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) failed to establish peace in metropolitan city despite being in power in Sindh and the federal as well, in the past.
Rangers and law enforcement agencies had played pivotal role in restoring peace in the economic hub of the country, he said.
The minister said the PML-N would get outcome of the efforts for bringing peace there in the general elections.
He said Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has been paying visits to Karachi regularly and offering all-out support for providing better facilities to the people there.
He said former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had also recently paid a visit to Karachi as he had been taking keen interest to restore business activities.
He said other political parties in Sindh should also make efforts for betterment and development of Karachi as it was a collective cause.
