LAHORE, Feb 05 (APP):Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif Monday inaugurated the latest CT scan machine at District Headquarters Hospital, Kasur.
According to a handout issued here, he inspected different sections of CT scan room and was also briefed about the facility.
Afterwards, he visited new emergency block of the hospital and inquired after health of the patients.
He inspected different medical facilities as well. The patients and their attendants expressed their satisfaction over the availability of different healthcare facilities at the hospital.
Talking to doctors, nurses, medical staff and attendants of the patients, the Chief Minister said that treatment facilities were being improved with the investment of billions of rupees, adding that latest CT scan machines had also been provided to the hospitals which would work round the clock and the patients would not have to suffer for the sake
of their CT scans.
He also assured the nurses of the solutions of their problems at new emergency block and issued on-spot necessary directions to the quarters concerned.
Later, the Chief Minister held a meeting with parents and other family members of seven girls which were molested in different tragic incidents in Kasur and assured them of provision of justice.
He said that Kasur would be made part of Safe City Project and instructions had been issued in this regard.
Shehbaz Sharif announced to name different schools of Kasur after seven murdered girls and said that repair work of roads of the area would also be completed soon.
He consoled the mother of a little girl Kainat, and said that every possible support would be provided to her.
Talking to the media representatives later on, the Chief Minister said that latest CT scan machines were being installed in all DHQ hospitals of the province. These machines had been installed in Kasur, Vehari, Layyah, Mianwali and Bhakkar districts while these ones were being set up in five other districts as well including Okara, Khushab, Bahawalpur, Sheikhupura and Attock, he said and added, now the people of these areas would not have to go to other cities for their CT scan.
He said that according to the policy of the Punjab government, these machines would not be the property of the Health department but these would be operated by the company that would install them. The CT scan of the patients would be conducted upon concerned doctors receipt and this facility would be available round the clock, he added.
Shehbaz Sharif said that comprehensive reforms program was underway for improving healthcare facilities in all the hospitals of the province and billions of rupees were being spent to improve the quality of healthcare facilities.
He said that a network of hepatitis filter clinics was being spread to provide latest diagnostic and treatment facilities to patients suffering from liver diseases. He said that latest ultrasound machines were being
provided to 700 basic health units and lady health workers were being trained to operate them, adding that these ultrasound machines had been procured by spending million of rupees.
Meanwhile, he said, 200 color developer latest ultrasound machines were being provided to rural health centers and mobile health units were also providing best treatment facilities to the people at their doorsteps in remote areas. “This is the revolution in the health sector which has been brought about by the PML-N government,” he added.
He said the PML-N was the only political party which had served the masses day and night under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Shehbaz Sharif said joint efforts should be made for ensuring progress and prosperity of the country. “PML-N has proved that it is the true representative party of people,” he added.
The CM said there would have been big projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK), if Imran Khan had not wasted time in sit-ins.
