SBP to organize U16 hockey, Secretary Sports Punjab

LAHORE, Jan 31 (APP):Secretary Sports Punjab, Muhammad Aamir
Jan said that Sports Board Punjab (SBP) will organise Punjab Inter-Divisional U-16 (Boys) Hockey Championship in April this year.
He made this announcement at a key meeting at National Hockey
Stadium here on Wednesday.
The meeting was attended by Director Sports Muhammad Anees Sheikh, Divisional Sports Officer Multan, Rana Nadeem Anjum, Director Domestic Development PHF Olympian Naveed Alam, Secretary Punjab Hockey Association Lt-Col (retd) Asif Naz Khokhar, senior coach Shahid Nizami and all divisional sports officers of the province.
Aamir Jan said Pakistan has plenty of hockey talent and the Punjab Inter-Divisional U-16 (Boys) Hockey Championship will be a suitable platform for promising hockey players of the province to show their
talent. “Sports Board Punjab will continue to provide such opportunities
to youth of the province in future as well”, he added.
Secretary Sports Punjab informed that top players from all the divisions of the province will take part in the championship.
