People in Karachi enjoying life in fearless environment: Sindh Governor

KARACHI, Jan 25 (APP): Governor of Sindh Muhammad Zubair on
Thursday said that restoration of peace in Karachi is an important
achievement of present government because the investment has increased and the people are also enjoying their routine life in fearless environment.
The Governor said this while addressing a ceremony of the 7th
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award, at a hotel here, said a
statement.
He said that the present government is making all-out efforts to
establish and maintain ever-lasting peace in the metropolis.
He lauded the steps which are being taken by the Corporate sector
in the social sector for betterment and welfare of the people and these are being resulted in improvement in education and health sectors.
The generation of power from Coal in Thar is one of the example,
where the investment is being poured in power generation sector which is also helped in bringing improvement in the living standard of the local residents, he added.
The Sindh Governor said that the corporate sector allocates for
social welfare around the world but this practice is in primary phase
in Pakistan.
Talking about organizing the award ceremony, the Sindh Governor
congratulated Head of the Professional Network, Mehmood Tareen and said that the encouragement of corporate sector will bring improvement in this sector.
Later, the Governor of Sindh presented the shields among the
companies on their extraordinary contribution to the social sector.
