Zaheer Abbas Cricket Academy inaugurated at Hazro

ATTOCK, Jan 25 (APP):Provincial Sports Minister Jahangir Khanzada Thursday inaugurated Zaheer Abbas Cricket Academy in Hazro, where international standard training will be imparted to young cricketers.
Speaking on the occasion, Jahangir Khanzada said Punjab government under the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister
Shehbaz Sharif was taking revolutionary steps for the promotion of sports and spending million of rupees for the purpose.
He said that at the cost of Rs 80 million flood lights would be installed in Shuja Khanzada Jinnah Stadium Hazro.
Khanzada said for the promotion of sports in Punjab, 155 sports projects were under completion. For the promotion of
national game Hockey 22 hockey stadiums are being upgraded. While in Attock , Hockey Stadium is being upgraded at the
cost of Rs 90 million, he added.
He said Rs 320 million being spent in Attock district for the promotion of sports. He said that in Lahore an international
level sports complex had been established while in Attock district a sports complex is near completion.
He emphasized upon the youth to take advantage of these sports facilities.
Earlier former cricketer Zaheer Abbas said that across the Punjab ten cricket academies had been established while
today in Hazro, 11th cricket academy has been inaugurated.
