Murtaza directs Housing Ministry to submit report for not carrying out development work in I-12, D-13 sectors

ISLAMABAD, Jan 25 (APP):Deputy Speaker National Assembly Murtaza Javed Abbasi Thursday directed the Ministry of Housing and Works to submit comprehensive report during the next session for not carrying out of development work in Sector I-12 and D-13.
“The ministry should present a report about the factual position of the development work of the sectors during the next session” Murtaza Javed Abbasi said.
He said that common and poor people have hoped to get plot but the concerned authority had failed to complete the development works of the sectors.
Earlier, replying to a calling attention notice, Minister of State for Inter-Provincial Corrdination Dr Darshan said that about 70-80 percent roads of the I-12 which are located in commercial areas had been completed.
The minister said that the sectors were started in 1996 but unfortunately development work was not initiated by all the previous government while the present government has initiated the development work of these sectors.
Dr Darshan said that former Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif had started construction of roads in the commercial area of I-12 which is almost near completion.
He said that land has been acquired for the development of D-13 and soon development work will be started.
The minister said that it was negligence of the CDA that payment had not been made timely to the owners of the land.
