QUETTA, Sep 22 (APP):Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandukhail on Sunday congratulated the entire Pashtun nation on the occasion of Pashtun Cultural Day.
In his message, he said that Pashtun is actually the name of this particular lifestyle of Pashtuns which promotes collectivity, self-respect, courageous leadership, social justice and hospitality.
He said that the social life of Pashtuns is the name of the overall colorfulness and beauty of their geography saying that in this context, culture is actually a historical continuum and a living discipline of living.
Through which our past and present are connected, on the basis of which we determine the new direction of our future, he said.
He said that as the journey of evolution and development progresses, many things of the past become a thing of the past and people adopt new values and novel objects according to fresh goal conditions, human needs and modern requirements of time.
The Governor said that the Pashtun nation, like the living nations of the world has maintained its national identity through its wonderful values, traditions, culture and history.
He said that mother tongue is the heart beat of every national culture which is established by mother’s undying love, so there is an urgent need to make use of modern researches from around the world and translations of works of world languages.
The Governor said that even today, the Pashtun nation has strong traditions and wonderful values of attractive traditional clothes, tasty food, cultural dances, Jirga system, humanitarianism and hospitality, so it is necessary.
Maximize your progressive thinking and outstanding values through Pashtun cultural events, he noted. He described that in the spirit of coexistence, we must promote harmony among neighboring nations, diverse languages and cultures in today’s global village.
Undoubtedly, by embracing our rich cultural heritage and noble values, we can build a more harmonious and progressive society, he mentioned.
