ISLAMABAD, Sep 04 (APP):The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast hot and dry weather for most regions during the next 24 hour.
However, rain-wind/thundershowers are expected at isolated places in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa southeastern Sindh and Kashmir.
A low-pressure area was advancing towards southeast Sindh, accompanied by a shallow westerly wave over the upper parts of the country, according to the weather forecast.
During the last 24 hours, dry weather prevailed across most regions, though isolated rain-wind/thundershowers were reported in lower Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, southeastern Sindh, Kashmir, central/northeast Punjab, southeastern Balochistan, and Gilgit-Baltistan. Significant rainfall recorded include 18mm in Dera Ismail Khan (KP), 15mm in Mithi (Sindh), and 13mm in Kotli (Kashmir).
The highest recorded temperatures were 41C in Nokkundi, and 40C in Sibbi and Dalbandin.
