KARACHI, Sep 04 (APP):Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori inaugurated the logo of Imam Ahmed Raza University of Emerging Sciences and Technology at a simple ceremony held at the Governor House.
During the ceremony, Governor Tessori also distributed awards to the students who designed the logo.
The event was attended by notable figures, including Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman and Professor Rashid Kamal Ansari, among others.
In his address, Governor Tessori emphasized the importance of promoting higher education as a top priority.
He highlighted the significance of including educational activities in the welfare initiatives of social organizations, describing it as a positive development.
The governor stated that the youth are a valuable asset to the nation and the bright future of the country. He underscored the importance of training young people in modern IT courses to harness their potential.
Governor Tessori further mentioned that both civil and military leadership are committed to a stable economy and a strong defense.
He emphasized that Pakistan is not lacking in talent and that the country is capable of achieving great accomplishments.
He noted that unity, consensus, and collective strength are crucial in countering the enemy’s conspiracies, ensuring that no hostile narrative is imposed on the nation.
The governor reiterated that the enemy aims to destabilize Pakistan and hinder its progress. He pointed out that the unity demonstrated on August 14, with the national flag held high, was a powerful response to the adversaries.
Governor Tessori praised the efforts of the Saylani Welfare Trust, not only in their welfare activities but also in promoting higher education.
He assured his full support to the trust in these endeavors. Governor Sindh also announced that a solemn ceremony will be held at the Governor House on September 6 to pay tribute to the martyrs, where their families will be honored.
Mufti Muneeb-ur- Rehman, in his address, appreciated Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori for opening the doors of the Governor House to the public and for initiating IT courses to secure the future of the youth. He added that the establishment of a university named after Imam Ahmed Raza by the Saylani Welfare Trust is a commendable initiative.
Maulana Bashir Farooq, the founder of Saylani Welfare Trust, also spoke at the event, announcing the establishment of Imam Ahmed Raza University.
He shared that 52 PhDs have been completed on Imam Ahmed Raza worldwide and that Saylani currently operates four institutes providing education in various fields.
