LAHORE, Aug 19 (APP):The officers under training from the Sindh Civil Services Training Program visited the Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), here on Monday.
On this occasion, the Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer briefed the delegation about the working of the organization. The delegation was taken on a visit of various departments, including the Virtual Child Safety Centre and the Women Police Station. The delegation reviewed the operations of the 15 Emergency Helpline Centre and the Operations and Monitoring Center. They were also briefed on the Artificial Intelligence Traffic Management System.
While briefing the officers, the Managing Director of the Punjab Safe Cities Authority stated that Safe Cities projects in Sheikhupura and other cities would be inaugurated soon. The Virtual Women Police Station, established to ensure women’s safety, is proving effective.
Chief Operating Officer Punjab Safe Cities Authority, Mustansar Feroze, conducted a visit of the authority’s various departments and provided briefings. He informed the delegation that smart Safe City projects will be launched across Punjab, which will be cost-effective and based on advanced artificial intelligence.
The delegation members expressed their views, stating that due to modern infrastructure, Lahore is competing with the world’s major cities. Due to Safe City cameras, Lahore is a safer and more peaceful city. Punjab Safe Cities Authority is serving as a role model, and ‘we will benefit from it’.
