District admin starts rescue operation for floods

JHANG, Aug 19 (APP):The district administration has started operation to shift people to safer place as thirty villages 30 villages had been inundated, hundred acres of crops had been washed out and several houses had been demolished due to floods.

Water level at Trimmu Barrage was recorded 94,510 cusec, the official sources said, adding water level was rising and was expected to go down during next 24 hours.

The sources said Rescue 1122 had started evacuation of people to safer places by boats and tractor trolleys.

The district administration had set up 12 relief camps for flood affected people in the district, they added.
