Nisar directs NADRA, Passport officials to eliminate agent mafia

KARACHI, Dec 7 (APP): Minister for Interior Chaudhary Nisar Ali on Monday directed National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and Passport officials to devise a comprehensive strategy for elimination of agent mafia, who were fleecing people outside their offices.
Talking to the officials of NADRA, Passport and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) here, he said security staff should be deployed outside their offices to save the people from agent mafia.The Chairman NADRA, Director General Passports, Director FIA Sindh
and officials of the ministry were present in the meeting.
The Interior Minister directed the officials to ensure hassle free delivery of CNICs and passports to Karachiites after timely payment of fee at all branches of National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) from next week. The payments of passport fee through mobile phones and home delivery of passports should also be ensured by January 2016, he added.
He also directed the officials to ensure opening of first NADRA
Mega Centre (in Karachi) in January and three more in May.
