Aleem Khan calls on CM Punjab

LAHORE, Aug 13 (APP):Federal Minister for Privatization, Investment Board and Communications Abdul Aleem Khan met Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif here
on Tuesday.
The matters of economic and political situation, development projects in Lahore, issues of mutual interest and privatisation came under discussion.
The CM apprised the visiting federal minister that the construction, expansion and rehabilitation of more than 600 roads across Punjab would facilitate people on the completion of project. She added that five major expressways were being built in Punjab connecting various cities to each other. She highlighted that construction, expansion and repair of roads bring prosperity to the people of the region.
CM Maryam Nawaz said the Punjab government would provide solar panels to people to resolve the problem of expensive electricity, adding that interest of foreign institutions in Nawaz Sharif IT City project in Lahore was very encouraging.
Federal Minister for Privatization Abdul Aleem Khan congratulated Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on the launch of remarkable welfare projects like field hospitals, clinics on wheels and the first air ambulance in the province.
He said the performance of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif for the development and prosperity of people was commendable. He added roads, education, health and clean Punjab projects would be successful. He acknowledged Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s steps to control inflation were commendable.
Abdul Aleem Khan said privatisation of loss-making institutions including PIA would reduce financial burden on national exchequer, adding that board of Investment had launched One Window and Ease of Doing Business for domestic and foreign investors.
