SAHIWAL, Aug 13 (APP):The Regional Police Officer (RPO) Sahiwal on Tuesday issued strict instructions to ensure fool-proof security arrangements for the 78th Independence Day celebrations across the region.
According to DIG Mehboob Rasheed, the RPO, police officers in the districts of Sahiwal, Okara and Pakpattan have been given professional orders to maintain the highest levels of security during the festivities.
“Celebrating Independence Day in full is an expression of national unity, and it is the best way for the people of Pakistan to celebrate their love for the motherland,” RPO stated.
As part of the security measures, the RPO has ordered a strict enforcement of the ban on one-wheeling and motorcycles without silencers.
Additionally, the police have been directed to update the lists of “regular” miscreants and take preventive legal action against them.
“No person should have the courage to break the law and engage in racketeering,” Rasheed emphasized, stressing the importance of maintaining law and order during the celebratory events.
