NOWSHERA VIRKAN, Aug 13 (APP):Preparations for Independence Day celebrations are complete in Nowshera Virkan with various events planned to mark the occasion, on Tuesday.
According to APP Correspondent, the main event will take place at the Municipal Committee Hall where a flag hoisting ceremony will follow the national anthem and sirens.
Assistant Commissioner Mohammad Naveed Haider will officiate the flag hoisting after which a special prayer will be held for the nation’s security, development and prosperity.
In addition to the flag hoisting, a birthday cake will be cut at the press club.
The celebrations will also feature a Kabaddi match and tree planting activities in Varkan.
Public and private buildings across the city will be illuminated with lights and stalls selling national flags and themed merchandise have been set up, creating a festive atmosphere for the occasion.
