DERA ISMAIL KHAN, Aug 12 (APP):As part of Green Pakistan program, the district administration and the District Education Office (Male) planted saplings in Mouza Dhap-Chabak in connection with Independence Day.
Deputy Commissioner Sarah Rehman, Assistant Commissioner Muhammad Faseeh Ishaq Abbasi, teachers, scouts and students besides officers from different departments including Education and forest participated in the event.
The participating officers, on this occasion, highlighted the importance of trees.
Due to global warming, they said, the summers are becoming unbearable in our area.
They said the plantation should be taken as a national cause and maximum trees be planted in order to ensure safe and healthy environment for the coming generations.
The event was supervised by ADEO Shakeel Ahmed on behalf of Education Department.
He also thanked all the participants for their cooperation.
