LODHRAN, Aug 12 (APP):Additional Deputy Commissioner General and Municipal committee administrator, Muhammad Asad Ali, said provision of healthy environment to the masses under ‘Clean Punjab Program’ was administration’s top priority.
He expressed these views during a special discussion on cleanliness under the Clean Punjab campaign throughout the district.
The Clean Punjab Program was in progress successfully across the district in line with Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s vision.
Assistant Commissioners, Local Government, District Council, and Municipal Committees’ officials were actively working in the field to make cities, towns, and villages clean, tidy, and attractive under the program.
All machinery and staff across the district were fully operational to provide the best municipal services to the public and eliminate illegal encroachment, he added.
Monitoring was being conducted to ensure the cleanliness of streets, towns, and other public places in the city.
The Administrator Municipal Committee stated that all concerned departments’ officials have been directed to personally oversee the improvement of cleanliness standards in the field and to promptly address public complaints regarding sanitation.
He further said that the Clean Punjab Program has significantly improved cleanliness in both urban and rural areas.
The Municipal Committee’ staff continued his work regularly to clean sewer lines, water disposals, and installing covers on manholes.
