PESHAWAR, Aug 12 (APP):Commissioner Kohat Division Syed MotasimBillah Shah paid a surprise visit to the Divisional Headquarters Hospital, Kohat Development Authority(KDA).
On this occasion, he inspected the emergency, X-Ray, different wards, canteen and different parts of the hospital and inquired about the patients and their families for medical treatment. He also asked regarding the provision of health facilities.
MS KDA Hospital Dr. Tahir Ali Shah and DMS Saud Ahmed gave a detailed briefing to the commissioner about the medical and other facilities in the hospital.
Commissioner Kohat Division expressed satisfaction over the cleanliness situation and found the food items to be of standard quality, however, for satisfaction, he directed the officials of the Food Department present on the spot to conduct proper tests of the food items.
The commissioner also spoke on the important issue of referral to Peshawar, including the long-standing problems of necessary equipment with MS in the hospital, and strictly directed that referral of normal cases to Peshawar should be discouraged except for very important cases.
Commissioner Kohat assured to make all possible efforts to solve all the problems of the hospital, especially the current problems related to health on priority basis.
