FAISALABAD, Aug 07 (APP):The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) seized 1,200-kilogram (kg) dead chicken and 500 packets of Gutka on Wednesday and arrested two accused from Faisalabad.
Deputy Director Operations Qasim Raza said that the PFA team had set up a picket on Lahore-Khurarianwala Road. During checking of vehicles, it seized dead chicken which were being transported in a mini truck.
The team arrested one accused and impounded the mini truck.
Meanwhile, the PFA team also recovered 500 packets of adulterated and unhygienic Gutka from Hajwairi Town and arrested the shopkeeper from the spot. Both accused were handed over to the police while further action was under progress, he added.
