SARGODHA, Aug 04 (APP):Deputy Commissioner Capt (retd) Aurangzeb Haider Khan said on Sunday that like other parts of the country, Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir would be
observed here on Monday, August 5.
On the direction of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the district administration
would organize special events to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir.
A seminar and a rally would be held at the Arts Council Complex, Kutchery Road,
at 9:00 AM.
Government officials, students, and people from all walks of life would participate
in the events. District Educational institutions had been directed to organize seminars, lectures, photo exhibitions, and other activities to highlight the Kashmir issue.
The Deputy Commissioner condemned India’s illegal action of 05 August 2019
in Indian Occupied Kashmir, saying that the move was a blatant violation of
UN resolutions.
He urged the international community to take notice of human rights abuses in Kashmir and work towards a peaceful resolution to the core issue.
