Minister chairs KKKUK’s 11th senate meeting at Governor House

PESHAWAR, Jul 27 (APP): Khushal Khan Khattak University Karak (KKKUK) convened its 11th senate meeting at the Governor House here Saturday.
Chaired by provincial Minister for Higher Education, Meena Khan Afridi, the meeting focused on discussing and approving the actual budget 2022- 23, revised/actual budget for the Financial Year 2023-24 and the budget estimates for 2024-25.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naseer ud Din presented a comprehensive overview of the University’s progress over the past decade. He highlighted significant financial and academic advancements, including the establishment of General Endowment and Pension Endowment Funds aimed at ensuring long-term financial sustainability.
Treasurer Hafiz Ismail Khan presented the actual budget for the FY 2022-23, revised/actual budget for 2023-24 and outlined the budget estimates for 2024-25. He emphasized that the University has undertaken a third-party audit and actuarial study to ensure financial accuracy and reliability.
The Senate members after detailed discussion, approved the budget and appreciated it.
Provincial Minister Meena Khan Afridi commended the University’s management for their efforts in maintaining financial stability and expressed a commitment to fostering a stronger research culture.
The VC acknowledged the minister’s efforts in addressing the challenges faced by universities in the province.
Justice Rtd Abdul Aziz Kundi, Registrar Dr. Rafi Ullah Khan, Director P&D Muhammad Rashad Khattak, Director Works Engr Mir Salam, Director QEC Dr. Muhammad Anwar Marwat, Head of Management Sciences Dr. Faqir Sajjad Ul Hassan, Lecturer Umair Ud Din, Assistant Registrar Mr. Sahibzada, and other distinguished attendees including representatives from the Secretary Establishment, Secretary Finance, Secretary HED, and HEC Nominee Dr Usman Ghani were present at the meeting.
The VC expressed his appreciation for the minister proactive role in resolving university-related issues and ensuring institutional progress.
The meeting was efficiently supported by the University’s administrative team, including Deputy Registrar Meetings Ilyas Tehseen, Budget Officer Tahir Gul, Admin Officer Shamsher Khattak, Accounts Officer Muhammad Izhar and Muhammad Jan Rajjar.
