KP Rescue 1122′ observes  World Drowning Prevention Day

PESHAWAR, Jul 26 (APP):The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa emergency service -Rescue 1122 is observing the  World Drowning Prevention Day here on Friday..
On this occasion, Rescue 1122’s Director General, Dr. Muhammad Ayaz Khan in a meeage, highlighted the significance of the diving service in various districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He revealed that Rescue 1122 has provided services in 4,160 drowning incidents since its inception.
He said, Mardan reported 580 incidents, Peshawar 552, Swat 451, Nowshera 450, and Charsadda 225 drowning incidents. During these incidents, Rescue 1122 conducted search operations and rescued over 6,380 individuals.
He further mentioned that Rescue 1122’s diving service is equipped with the latest technology, including rubber boats, fiber boats, and local boats (Jaalar) used in mountainous areas. Rescue 1122 divers employ various search methods in canals, seas, dams, and ponds, including line search, zigzag search, open search, and diving.
Dr. Muhammad Ayaz Khan emphasized the importance of following rules and regulations during swimming and boating and encouraged the public to call 1122 for services in any emergency.
