MULTAN, Jul 25 (APP): Dr Mehnaz Khakwani has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of Nishtar Medical University for four years, making her the first female Vice Chancellor of the university here on Thursday.
A formal notification has been issued by the Governor of Punjab in this regard.
This decision has been welcomed by medical and social circles. It is noteworthy that Dr Mehnaz Khakwani has an outstanding academic record with numerous gold medals and is a renowned gynecologist.
She has served as the Chairperson of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Nishtar Medical University, President of the Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and has held other significant positions. Additionally, she has previously served as the Pro-Vice Chancellor and Acting Vice Chancellor at NMU.
