PMD forecast hot weather with chances of isolated rain in few parts

ISLAMABAD, Jul 25 (APP): Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast mainly hot and very humid weather for most parts of the country during the next 24 hours.

However, rain-windstorm/thundershower is expected at isolated places in Kashmir, northeastern Punjab, Pothohar Region and upper Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Isolated rain-windstorm/thundershower is also likely in southern Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, northeast Balochistan and central/ south Punjab during evening/night.

In Islamabad, mainly hot and humid weather with rain-windstorm/thundershower is expected in Islamabad and surroundings during morning/ night hours.

In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, rain-wind/thundershower is expected at isolated places in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Buner, Peshawar, Mardan, Swabi, Malakand, Bajaur, Khyber, Kurram, Kohat, Karak Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and Waziristan.

In Punjab, mainly hot and very humid weather is expected in most parts of the province. However, rain-windstorm/thundershower is likely at isolated places in Murree, Galliyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Sialkot, Narowal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Lahore, Kasur and Okara. While, rain-wind/thundershower is also expected at isolated places in Sheikhupura, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Khushab, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Noorpur Thal, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Layyah, Dera Ghazi Khan and Bahawalnagar during evening/ night.
In Balochistan, mainly hot and very humid weather is expected in most districts of the province.

However, rain-wind/thundershower is likely at isolated places in Zhob, Musa Khel, Barkhan, Kohlu, Loralai, Sibbi, Khuzdar and surroundings.

In Sindh, mainly hot and very humid weather is expected in most districts of province. However, partly cloudy weather with isolated light rain/ drizzle is likely in coastal areas.

On the northern side, partly cloudy weather with isolated rain-wind/ thundershower is expected in Kashmir. While, dry/partly cloudy weather is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan.

During tge last 24 hours, hot and humid weather prevailed over most parts of the country.
However, rain-wind/thundershower occurred at isolated places in northeastern Balochistan, Northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan, lower Sindh and Kashmir.

The rainfall recorded was Balochistan: Sibbi 47mm, Punjab: Sahiwal 17, Murree, Kasur 03, Kashmir: Rawalakot 06, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: Pattan 03mm.

The maximum temperatures recorded were in Dalbandin 47C, Nokkundi 46 Bhakkar and Jacobabad 44C.
