MULTAN, Jul 25 (APP): Growers will display over 100 varieties of ‘King of Fruits’ in a two-day 8th annual mango festival which will open from July 26 at Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture.
Titled ‘EcoSmart Mango Production’, the festival will feature mango disk making and other competitions besides an informative moot on new technology for growing and value addition of the fruit.
Event organizer Dr Mubashir Mehdi told this news agency on Thursday that more than 50 growers would present their best quality mangoes at the festival.
Punjab Minister for Agriculture, Syed Ashiq Hussain Shah will inaugurate the festival at MNSUA on Friday.
He said mango variety and dish making competitions would also be organized.
A poetic sitting, musical and cultural night will also be part of the festival, he said and added that visitors will enjoy at the annual festivity.
