ANF seizes 721 kg drugs in 10 operations

RAWALPINDI, Jul 25 (APP): Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) while conducting 10 operations across the country managed to recover 721 kg drugs and arrested 10 accused, said an ANF Headquarters spokesman here on Thursday.
He informed that 2.7 kg ice was recovered from two parcels booked for Australia at a courier office in Karachi.
668 grams cocaine was recovered from a passenger coming from Doha at Lahore Airport.
5.5 kg ice was recovered from a parcel booked for New Zealand at a cargo office at Lahore Airport.
588 kg hashish was recovered from the possession of an accused arrested in Quetta.
44.4 kg hashish and 27.6 kg opium were recovered from a vehicle intercepted on M-1 Motorway Islamabad while an accused was also arrested.
36 kg hashish was recovered from a vehicle near Sohrab Goth Karachi and two accused were arrested.
10 kg opium and 1 kg hashish were recovered from two suspects rounded up near Al-Asif Square Karachi.
In two operations conducted in Panjpai area in Balochistan, 1 kg weed and 3.3 kg heroin were recovered from the possession of two accused.
900 grams opium was recovered from an accused arrested near a school in Ahmed Nagar, Faisalabad.
Cases have been registered against the arrested accused and further investigations are under process.
